Step by step to the goal

There are ten steps involved in posting and selling.

.

1. Counselling

After the appraisal of your works in the original, you will receive a contract offer from us with the individually agreed auction conditions. Your personal advisor will be happy to explain estimated and limit prices and will be happy to answer any questions you may have at any time.

2. Transport

The works of art to be auctioned must be with us in Berlin at least eight weeks before the auction. We will be happy to organise professional transport for you; the works entrusted to us are insured at all times.

3. Cataloguing

Up to four weeks before the auction, the cataloguing is carried out by our experts at Grisebach in Berlin. This includes a precise examination and description of the work as well as research into its provenance.

4. Online catalogue

Our auction catalogues are online four weeks before the auction.

5. Catalogue dispatch

As soon as the catalogue is printed (approximately three weeks before the auction), you as the consignor will automatically receive a specimen copy free of charge.

.

6. Preview/auction

You are cordially invited to our previews and the auction. The invitation will be sent out approximately three weeks before the auction.

7. Result

Shortly after the auction you will receive a message from us with a list of your items and the respective results.

8. Billing

Invoicing takes place after we have received payment from the buyer.

9. Post-sale

In the event that your artwork has not been sold, the work will be offered in the post-auction sale at the limit price until eight weeks after the auction.

10. Payout

The auction proceeds will be paid out to you within four weeks of receipt of payment by us. Payment is usually made by bank transfer and in EUR.
