Grisebach is delighted to invite you to an exquisite sales exhibition, which has been organised in cooperation with the Georg Hornemann goldsmith's studio and Kicken Berlin.
Georg Hornemann is premiering recently produced, elaborate ring sculptures whose special charm is revealed above all in action, as the movement of the hand becomes the natural driving impulse that brings the jewellery object to life. The pieces presented in the exhibition embody the Hornemann manufactory's philosophy of precision and clarity and create a harmonious connection between the fundamental rigidity of the material and the surprising dynamics of movement.
On a visual level, the dynamism of the pieces is also underlined by the choice of materials and the play of colours of the stones used. The reflections and mirroring of the jewellery object on the carrier surface also increase the impression of movement.
A presentation of photographic works curated by gallery owner Annette Kicken opens up a corresponding space, all of which deal with questions of matter, light and movement in their own way. Works by artists such as Cecil Beaton, László Moholy-Nagy, Aenne Biermann, Man Ray, Albert Renger-Patzsch and Otto Steinert, but also from the field of scientific and press photography, orchestrate a visually emphatic and in-depth dialogue with the dynamic objects from the Hornemann manufactory.
At the exhibition opening, Daniel Richter will talk about his enthusiasm for the highly elegant movement sculptures.
The production of the rings shown in the exhibition is a technical challenge that Georg Hornemann's studio takes on with the processing of moving parts, bearings, balance and impulse elements. The five objects are made of 750/ooo yellow gold or white gold and are set with black and white diamonds, pink sapphires and tsavorites. The rings are each limited to 6 pieces.
The jewellery produced by the Georg Hornemann goldsmith's studio has stood for a high level of technical quality and craftsmanship for over 40 years.
Photography as art and, above all, an adventure of seeing: with this mission of its founder Rudolf Kicken, Kicken Berlin, as one of the leading galleries for artistic photography worldwide, has contributed to a visual culture of images in countless exhibitions, external projects and publications, setting standards in the innovative mediation of the medium for over forty years.
