After seven years as a partner and managing director of Villa Grisebach, Florian Illies will be dedicating himself to a new role outside the art trade from the beginning of 2019.
Florian Illies was primarily responsible for the 19th century department at Grisebach, which he built up with great expertise and extraordinary commitment and turned into the German market leader. Micaela Kapitzky, with whom Illies has been managing the company for the past two years, will take over on an interim basis. Florian Illies will remain closely associated with the company as a member of the Advisory Board.
