Daniel von Schacky is leaving Grisebach GmbH on 1 August at his own request. He has long harboured the desire to become self-employed and pursue his own entrepreneurial path. Over the past decade, he has established contemporary art at Villa Grisebach as the largest sales pillar after classical modernism and has shown that top prices can be achieved in Germany for international contemporary artists from Joseph Beuys and Sigmar Polke to Thomas Demand.
We regret his decision, as we are losing a successful and valued managing director and colleague. We would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his achievements and valuable contributions to Grisebach GmbH. We wish him all the best in his professional and private life and continued success.
